Project 52: Inspired | Maryland Child Photographer

This week’s theme is inspired and is brought to you this week via a snapshot, rather than a professional portrait.

My children are still at the age that they are inspired by anyone older than them.  They look up to us and want to be like us.  Scary sometimes!

One day my daughter said, “mom, I don’t want to be a mom when I grow up anymore.”  As this had been her profession of choice for the past year or so, I thought, “oh no, what have I done to change her mind!!?”  As it turns out, in her eyes, I’m still the best mom.  She just doesn’t want to have to go to the hospital.  Oh, ok… we can handle THAT change in heart, and discuss birthing options at a later date. 😉

So as I painted my daughter’s nails this afternoon, the boys woke up and wanted their nails painted.  They’re still too young to know that it’s “girls’ stuff” and they are inspired by their big sister and want to be like her.  ‘Nuf said.

Aw, too cute. What a good big sister.

I’m sure he’ll appreciate this photo being shown at his rehearsal dinner one day.;) the boys are looking crazy grown up lately!

I have a little guy that always wants his nails painted too! Last week he told me he wanted blue because pink was “for girls.” LOL.
